Since they were abandoned together at the same church, Asta and Yuno have remained inseparable. They promised each other as children that they would contest to see who would be the future Emperor Magus. As they grew older, though, some disparities between them became apparent. When Yuno was threatened and the truth about Asta's power was exposed, he was given a five-leaf clover Grimoire, which he dubbed the "black clover"! Now the two pals are off on a journey around the world, both in search of the same aim!
There is no main opponent in the Black Clover Arcs so far, but the message is different. You join your guild to protect people; you are the ruler of your kingdom, and there are both internal and local problems to contend with. Your mission is to defend your kingdom from outside invaders.
