By the conclusion of the four-part episode "Finale," Shredder recovered his speech and appointed the Foot Recruit as his new general after the capture of the Foot Lieutenant and the Foot Brute in the collapse of Baron Draxum's laboratory. When Shredder arrived to the Crying Titan, he instructed the Foot Recruit to perform the ritual that, when paired with the Empyrean inside, would allow him to drain Splinter's essence. Casey switched to the Turtles and April's side during their struggle with Shredder, assisting them, Baron Draxum, and the ghosts of the Hamato Clan's ancestors in defeating Shredder and restoring Oroku Saki's spirit to them.
