Despite the uproar over a funny and/or tragically awful sex joke at the end of Kingsman: The Secret Service, director Matthew Vaughn has stepped up the provocativeness in this week's sequel The Golden Circle. However, Taron Egerton, the film's actor, has said that he was not fully at ease while production. During one especially bizarre scene in the film, Egerton's character Eggsy is entrusted with placing a surveillance device on Poppy Delevingne's character... a mission that can only be accomplished by putting it into her vaginal canal. The violent scene follows the camera from Delevingne's face down her body and inside her using CGI.
Then there's the film's bumbling US president, who joyfully sentences all of the world's drug addicts to a horrible death rather than seem to cave in to terrorists. Poppy is not nearly as close to her goons as Valentine was in the first film, frequently murdering them in gruesome ways for minor infractions (or, in one case, seemingly just to prove that she can), resulting in her outfit being comparatively small, to the point where Eggsy and Harry can blow through every single one of her employees except Charlie in a matter of minutes.
The President of the United States of America nonchalantly dispatches his advisor to die among all the other diseased drug users, despite the fact that she works for him 20 hours a day, seven days a week. Her enormous schedule was the primary reason she became involved with drugs, something he couldn't care less about.
When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is taken captive, the Kingsman's adventure takes them to the United States, where they uncover an allied espionage organization. These two elite secret groups are forced to collaborate in order to combat a shared adversary. Taron Egerton, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Poppy Delevingne, and Pedro Pascal star in this action-adventure film.
