I'd want everyone to pause for a moment and consider that she is, in fact, the head of the temple's branch library, and how much more incredible it would have been if she had sent Obi-Wan to the main branch in quest of the missing data on Kamino. The main branch is a massive floating complex that encircles a much larger artificial desert, which is home to a venerable sarlacc with several pairs of space-spectacles....as far as I can tell, the sarlacc lacks eyes, so the space-spectacles on the end of their tentacles are probably just a mark of their profession.
