1 star I'm devastated! I normally read the reviews, but this time I didn't. Today is my five-year-birthday, old's and I cooked these pancakes in the hope of surprising him. His favorite food is pancakes! I'm not sure why I didn't use our normal recipe!!?? Ugh! These pancakes were really paper thin! Even so, the recipe had the correct consistency for pancake batter before we added it all. Which suggests that 1/2 teaspoon of salt is excessive. They were a little bit salty without the syrup. They rose well, in fact, they were really thick and fluffy, but the recipe yielded just 2-3 pancakes (perhaps because we used approximately half the suggested milk). While not an epic disaster, this is most certainly not a family favorite. Is it possible for someone to test these recipes before they are posted?
