Yumeko and Ryota are now pals the next day. They go into their classroom to see Mary's desk has been damaged, and the whole class is smirking menacingly. Mary places the blame on Yumeko for her loss yesterday before skulking away to reclaim the money. Ryota leads Yumeko to the cafeteria, where he discusses the school's repressive structure, the student council, and their gambling skill, further instilling Yumeko's already developing affection and enthusiasm for the institution. Yumeko is then asked to compete in Itsuki Sumeragi's Double Concentration. Yumeko plays a tight game but is unable to win the ten million dollars offered as a trial. Yumeko wants a rematch, which Itsuki agrees to on the condition that she may take Yumeko's fingernails and toenails to add to her nail collection. Yumeko detects her opponent's cheating and wins on the first turn by memorizing the back patterns of each card. While Itsuki is stunned, Yumeko confronts her about the cheating and begins expressing her joy and wrath by requesting another game in which they both risk their nails. Itsuki was moved to tears by the encounter and declined Yumeko's wish, leaving the latter unhappy.

Cleaner SketchThis step is optional, but I prefer to do it since it makes lineart much simpler. Here, I like to use a textured pencil brush, reduce the opacity of the original sketch layer, and create a cleaner sketch to assist me in drawing the lineart with less effort.
