This film was produced by Disney, who cast four well-known Jungstars as Musketeers. The film is rather amusing in this regard, but would be far better if the director had stuck to the novel. The characters of the Musketeers are well-drawn, and the actors play them with a lot of snark. Unfortunately, the screenwriters have devised a whole new story that is no longer really plausible. Richelieu - who is 14brigens really well portrayed by Tim Curry - wants to assassinate Louis XIII, the Companie des Musketieres is betrayed by him, and Anna von sterreich loves her husband and not Buckingham (who is also 14brigens completely unrecognizable). Fazit: This film is worth seeing if one has forgotten the book. I always look forward to seeing him, since the Darstellers seem to be having a great time.
