Overview
Julia Biggs is the wife of Reverend Henry Biggs and a choir conductor. Their once blissful marriage is deteriorating as a result of Henry devoting all of his time to the church and leaving little time for her. Additionally, a real estate developer called Joe Hamilton wants to acquire the church as part of his property development plan. Henry is at his wit's end and prays for spiritual aid, which he obtains in the guise of an angel called Dudley. The stranger forms an immediate relationship with their son Jeremiah, but the parents are wary of his motives. Meanwhile, he is distracted by the seductive Julia, savoring his time with her while attempting to save her marriage.
